Our story

I’m Tomás Damjanic, born and raised in Antofagasta, a city that taught me from a young age to enjoy and respect my connection with nature. Fishing trips with my father were a defining part of my childhood, sparking a deep admiration for boats and the calming presence of the sea.

During winter holidays, my family and I would escape to the mountains. After a long day in the snow, nothing felt better than soaking in a heated pool. That sensation of pure relaxation left a lasting impression on me. It remains one of life’s most authentic pleasures.

I studied Industrial Civil Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and worked for three years at a company connected to the mining industry. While I value everything I learned during that time, I always dreamed of building something of my own, something that reflects who I am and allows me to offer experiences that blend design, nature, and well-being.

Inspired by my travels through southern Chile and my love for hot springs, I began exploring renting out wooden hot tubs delivered to people’s homes. Although I faced early setbacks like rejected funding and technical hurdles, my passion kept me going. With time, effort, and perseverance, I discovered a concept in Europe that felt like it was made for me: floating hot tubs. The idea of combining a boat, hot water, and electric propulsion brought together everything I loved into one unique, aesthetic, and sensory experience.

I chose not to import the boats due to their high cost, confident that Chile had the talent to design and build them locally, with character and quality. That’s how HotBoat was born: a brand that’s not just about relaxation, but about reconnecting with what really matters. Today, our mission is to share this experience with as many people as possible: peaceful navigation, immersed in hot water, surrounded by nature, design, and silence.

Now, HotBoat is more than just a product, it’s an invitation to experience the luxury of simplicity, to rediscover well-being in motion. I look toward the future with enthusiasm and a head full of ideas. We believe that design, innovation, and pleasure can go hand in hand and that’s exactly what we want to share with Chile and the world.
